If you’re reading this, chances are you’re feeling overwhelmed. You’re not alone. Being a mom is tough enough, but when you add in the responsibilities of work and school, it can feel like you’re being pulled in a million different directions. How do you find the time to do it all? The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to that question.
Every mom has to find her own way of balancing work, family, and school. It can seem like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. But don’t worry, you can do it! With a little bit of planning and a lot of coffee, you can totally make this work. Keep reading for tips on how to be a supermom and balance it all!
Step 1: Get Organized
The first step to balancing everything is to get organized. This means setting up a daily schedule and sticking to it as much as possible. Invest in a good planner and use it to keep track of important dates, deadlines, and appointments. This will help you stay on top of your commitments and avoid getting overwhelmed.
Plan out when you’re going to work, when you’re going to study, and when you’re going to spend time with your family. Make sure to include some down time for yourself as well! And don’t forget to schedule in time for meals and sleep.
Another strategy is to set realistic goals for yourself. Instead of trying to do too much at once, focus on setting small goals that are achievable within a certain timeframe. This will help reduce stress levels as well as give you a sense of accomplishment when you achieve them.
Step 2: Set Priorities
There will always be days (and sometimes even weeks) where things don’t go according to plan. That’s just life. When that happens, it’s important to be able to set priorities and let some things go. If you’re feeling really stressed, take a break from studying or working and focus on spending time with your family or taking care of yourself. You’ll be able to get back to work soon enough.
Step 3: Seek Help When Necessary
Trying to do everything by yourself is not only impossible, but it’s also not healthy. Be willing to ask for help when you need it—whether that means hiring a babysitter so you can study or getting your spouse to pick up the slack at home so you can focus on work. Delegate tasks whenever possible so that you’re not completely overwhelmed all the time.
You can also take advantage of online resources such as forums or Facebook groups specifically dedicated to mothers who are trying to juggle multiple roles at once. These communities provide invaluable advice from other moms who have been through similar experiences and understand what it takes to succeed!
Step 4: Make time for yourself
It’s a common saying that ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup.’ What this means is that in order to be the best version of yourself, taking time for yourself is essential. Too often moms can forget about themselves in the midst of tending to their families every need. But dedicating some time solely for yourself will help replenish whatever feelings of burn out you may have encountered.
It can be a great idea to spend a little hard earned money and pamper your body and soul once in awhile. Treat yourself with a manicure or create some head space by catching some rays while outdoors on a run. Whatever it is that makes you feel relaxed and recharged, make sure you carve out some ‘me time’ every now and then!
Juggling being a mom with work and school can be incredibly challenging but also incredibly rewarding! With these tips in mind – such as creating a daily schedule, setting realistic goals for yourself, delegating tasks whenever possible, and seeking support from others – you’ll be able to find balance between all aspects of your life while still making time for yourself! Good luck, Supermom!
Below are some relaxation products I recommend checking out:
My sunday is always a self care day. I do what I want and take the day off. We eat left overs, quick meals, or easy make meals. I take a super luxiourious bath and deep condition my hair and skin while watching tv no one else likes. And I spend the rest of my evening curled up in bed with a good book and my service dog.
I always start off my Monday with a quick clean of the house when everyone goes back to work and school. It really helps me buckle down and helps me focus on my work since the house is back in order for the week.
Then I can spend Tues-Friday working on my side hustle without guilt.
My Saturdays are anything days where I catch up with family, friends, and things that need to get done that.
I absolutely love having a little routine that helps guide me through my week.
Hi Krystian! Your weekly routine sounds amazing! Having a routine/plan in place can reduce the overwhelm and allow you to focus on what really matters!
